Pre-Production Strategy
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. There are elements that qualify what makes a good video (or campaign) such as title, thumbnail, intro, and more that are oftentimes treated as afterthoughts. I’ve studied, applied, and optimized each of these elements such that a “good idea” is certified, rectified, and success-measured before any filming begins.
Storyboard & Script
The structure of story, flow of information, and revelation of ideas have MASSIVE impacts on audience retention and engagement. While a lot of nuanced magic happens in the moment of creation, I always start with the end in mind, combining traditional filmmaking principles with progressive production techniques for a familiar, relatable, yet unique end product.
Video Production
A full scope, professional production can seem overwhelming and daunting. My 17+ years of experience and study means I find the best angles, capture the best cinematography, & secure the best stories. My Sony cinema-line and high end drone equipment produces a fantastic range of image quality and practicality that is tailored to each deliverable whether for film, TV, YouTube, and more.
Creative Collaboration
Greater than my own skills and experience is my vast network of Creative Professionals and Subject Matter Experts I’ve built over the years. I believe in discernment and intellectual humility to know where your knowledge ends and someone else’s begins. When the opportunity calls for it, I bring on other experts at their craft: Directors, Producers, DP’s, Gaff & Grip, Audio Engineers, and more.
pOst Production
The sequencing and structuring of events is a tedious, crucial part of the storytelling process. Drama, comedy, suspense, and other emotions are tools I use to lead, chase, and communicate with the audience. I am always applying new and old filmmaking techniques to craft powerful audio/visual narratives that intrigue, engage, and anticipate viewers to stay until the very end.
Posting
The methodology with which you upload, post, promote, set-up and manage your page(s), and more are often overlooked, yet hold huge contingencies on the overall success of a video. My vast YouTube and social media experience allows me to post simultaneously, efficiently, and optimally across platforms. Continued management is key to staying up to date, relevant, and successful.
Analytics integration
Success leaves clues. Whether from other Creators or your own channel(s), there are numerous ways to study success and failure and apply these going forward. I believe the creating, editing, posting, and interpreting is a never-ending cycle that should continually be adapted and optimized. Analytics have hidden, immensely valuable data if you know what to look for and how to apply it.
